Silver award for “PRIDE Index”
“PRIDE Index” was established by “work with Pride” (wwP), an organization that supports promotion of LGBTQ+ diversity management to evaluate workplace initiatives for sexual minorities such as LGBTQ+ individuals.
Astellas received the Silver award in recognition of its various initiatives. Some of our initiatives include explicitly specifying antidiscrimination language in our corporate policy and code of conduct, implementation of same-sex partnership program, running workshops for employees, and eliminating the column to disclose gender identity on job applications.

Partnership Program
Astellas celebrates and supports the global diversity of our workforce and our employees’ varying family situations. We consider same-sex partners and their children as important family members, and apply various leave systems and other personnel systems that exceed the law.
Initiative for Allyship
Astellas supports Tokyo Rainbow Pride, and in 2023, voluntary employees, their families, and top managements gathered at the Tokyo Rainbow Pride event to express their allyship.
In addition, Astellas is working to expand allyship by distributing stickers and virtual backgrounds for online meetings, inviting external lecturers for training, and holding panel discussions to think about allyship together.
