A salary of ¥317,500 a month for master’s and bachelor’s degrees (6-year course)

Two days off for a full five-day workweek (Sat/Sun), national holidays, May Day, New Year holidays, summer holidays, paid leave (there is an acquisition plan registration system), child care holidays, nursing holidays, nursing care holidays, maternity leave, special medical leave, volunteer leave, bone-marrow donor special leave, official business leave, etc.

*Introduction of FFDay (Family Friday)
In April 2009, Astellas introduced FFDay (Family Friday), reducing the scheduled working hours on Fridays by 1 hour and 45 minutes. For sales positions, we have shortened the daily working hours by 15 minutes and increased the number of annual leave days.
We are working to reduce the number of regular working hours per year and to promote work styles that take into account productivity improvements and work-life balance.

ENTRY / REQUIREMENTS

We will recruit drug discovery research scientists (young and mid-career researchers) on a timely basis.

Young research scientists Mid-career research scientists
Recruiting method Several times a year, mainly by conducting the Drug discovery Innovator Selection Camp (DISC). Mainly through mid-career recruitment as needed for open positions.
DISC is also allowed.
Main Targets Postdocs with a few years of experience in research, persons who have a degree corresponding to a doctoral or master’s degree, or those who will obtain such a degree (new graduates), persons who have worked for the private sector. Research scientists who have plenty of experience with research and specialized expertise, persons who have worked for the private sector.
Start of application period Applications will be accepted according to the timing of selection. We look for mid-career recruits as needed.

Drug discovery Innovator Selection Camp (DISC) is a program designed to select researchers who would be a valuable asset to Astellas Pharma’s drug discovery endeavors. DISC Winners will have the opportunity to join Astellas Pharma as a research worker (full-time employee).
