Students who received or will receive a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in science, or who completed or will complete a 6-year curriculum in science between April 2021 and March 2025
• Students who will graduate from university or receive a faculty’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in March 2024
• Mid-career applicants: Allowed
However, mid-career applicants should be those who have graduated from university since April 2020 and have never worked as a regular employee since graduation.
• Those who can work anywhere in Japan
A salary of ¥317,500 a month for master’s and bachelor’s degrees (6-year course)
A salary of ¥287,500 a month for bachelor’s degrees (4-year course)

During the period of probation, employees are given a bonus proportionally (50%).
During the period of probation, employees are paid a starting salary.
Regular working hours apply to some employees who belong to manufacturing technology.
In April 2009, Astellas introduced FFDay (Family Friday), reducing the scheduled working hours on Fridays by 1 hour and 45 minutes. For sales positions, we have shortened the daily working hours by 15 minutes and increased the number of annual leave days.
We are working to reduce the number of regular working hours per year and to promote work styles that take into account productivity improvements and work-life balance.

Application guidelines for researchers
(common to new graduate and mid-career hiring) for fiscal 2024
*Applications for fiscal 2024 are now closed.
We will recruit drug discovery research scientists (young and mid-career researchers) on a timely basis.

DISC(Drug discovery Innovator Selection Camp)
Drug discovery Innovator Selection Camp (DISC) is a program designed to select researchers who would be a valuable asset to Astellas Pharma’s drug discovery endeavors. DISC Winners will have the opportunity to join Astellas Pharma as a research worker (full-time employee).
