We strive to create a workplace where all employees working at Astellas are empowered and engaged regardless of gender.
In addition to systems that enables flexible ways of working to support work life balance, we have various childcare support systems, including corporate contracts with babysitter agencies and subsidies for expenses when using them, as well as childcare expense subsidies when returning to work from childcare leave.
We are expanding our talent pool and supporting career development of female candidates for key management positions. Additionally, to achieve 100% male childcare system usage ratio, we distribute communication guides and male childcare support booklets to enhance open communication between manager and team member, and to create an environment in which employees feel comfortable to use the systems.

Open Cafe

We provide opportunities for employees to expand their professional network by selecting various themes and inviting guests to our regularly held event, Open Cafe. Open Cafe is a place where our employees can connect and have dialogue on diverse topics, such as dialogue between top managements and female employees, discussion with female leaders on purpose and value of work and panel discussion with male employees who have experienced childcare leave.
